Wild Burmese oud is known for its barnyard. Finding one that isn't is the hard part. Finding veteran distillers is harder, and finding older, quality distillations from those hands is harder still.
This is one of the few we found. Wild, distilled 2014, twelve years aged. Sweet and floral on opening, leathery and balsamic through the heart. Give it an hour on skin or blotter, and chocolatey, slightly earthy facets rise from underneath.
Rare to find wild Burmese oud. Rarer still to find one that surprises you this gently.
